Bus Fares & Passes
Regular Bus Services
All tickets on our regular local bus services are available at fares for Adults (age 16+) or Children (ages 5-15).
Single & Return Tickets – are available from the driver using contactless or cash and are priced depending on how far you’re travelling.
Week and 4-Week Saver Tickets are available for our services in and around Brentwood. You can buy these on board using contactless or cash, or before you board on the NIBS app.
Concession Passes – are accepted for free travel on Mondays to Fridays from 0900 to the end of service, and all day on Saturdays.
Children Under 5 – travel for free
Essex Saver Tickets
The Essex Saver Day ticket gives unlimited travel all day, on all buses across Essex, no matter who operates them*. They’re a great way to get out and about and explore our fabulous county.
Explore historic towns and villages, take a trip to the seaside, head to the shops, visit stately homes, museums and all sorts of great attractions or catch up with relatives and friends.
Buy on board using contactless or cash, or in advance on the NIBS app.

PlusBus Tickets
PlusBus tickets are available as an add on to rail tickets purchased from stations to Basildon Rail Station. Gives unlimited travel for a day or as part of a rail season ticket on all bus services around the Basildon area.

School Bus Tickets & Passes
All of our school bus services are open to any passengers wishing to travel on them. You’ll find details of all of our routes here.
Single journey tickets are available at both Adult & Child fares. Child fares are valid for anyone aged 5 and over who is travelling to school, college or sixth form. Adult fares apply to all other users.
Return tickets are not available.
Pre-paid One Term and Annual Passes are available, with the option to purchase travel in the morning only, afternoon only or in both morning and afternoon*.

NIBS Buses Mobile App
The NIBS Buses mobile app allows you to purchase and validate bus tickets on our buses. You can also search for particular stops and check scheduled departure times for your route.
